The Patient Rx Center

The HOA Patient RX Center WindowThe Patient Rx Center provides convenient and beneficial services for HOA patients.

Located in the lobby adjacent to the reception area at the Brittonfield and Camillus locations, we are a resource for you to obtain your medications along with information and assistance in optimizing your drug therapy. You can also purchase common over-the-counter medications you may need to help with your treatment, and we can deliver your medications to our Auburn office.

Certified by the Accreditation Commission for Healthcare (ACHC) as a Specialty Pharmacy with a Distinction in Oncology, our staff will help coordinate your pharmaceutical care with your physician, as well as investigate available financial assistance resources on your behalf. While some treatments may seem quite complex, our Patient Rx Center team is ready to provide detailed and specific medication counseling and tools that will enable you to better understand your treatment and derive the greatest benefit from it. Additionally, one of our nurses will contact you after the start of any new medication to ensure you understand the dosing, answer any questions, and provide symptom management tips for any side effects experienced.

Infusion Medication Services

Chemotherapy is one of the main methods of treating cancer. Your chemotherapy and treatment medications are prepared by a team of pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians who specialize in oncology. At the time of your treatment, your medication orders are reviewed for accuracy and completeness. The medications are prepared inside a biological safety cabinet located in a sterile area of the infusion center. Even though it may take a little more time, providing a safe experience for our patients and staff is our priority.
